Marketing Executive
(£21,500 OTE)
About the role
An ambitious and expanding marketing agency requires a talented Marketing Executive to join its client facing team, based in Prestwick, Ayrshire.
From day one, you will be an ambassador for the agency. You will hit the ground running and be largely autonomous, securing new clients by energetically prospecting for business, arranging and leading client meetings, writing client proposals, actively taking part in pitches and delivering the resulting marketing projects.
To excel in the role, you will:
• build, regularly communicate with and maintain a network of contacts throughout Scotland
• initiate and manage relationships with potential clients and partner agencies throughout Scotland
• contribute to the growth of our project portfolio with brand name clients
The marketing projects that you will subsequently deliver are likely to focus on our five key service areas, which are:
• marketing planning
• marketing research
• marketing communications
• marketing training
• marketing project management
This is a challenging role. Nevertheless, it is perfect for an individual who will thrive on taking responsibility for sourcing and managing their own portfolio of projects as well as playing an integral part in the expansion of the agency.
Your success in the role will be measured on your ability to secure and undertake client work to set monthly targets, and on the quality of that work and your organisational skills.
About us
AME Marketing is a full service marketing agency. We have a 23 year history of working with private sector clients such as Grant’s Haggis, GlaxoSmithKline, Mitchell and Struthers Landscape Solutions, Giles Insurance, KZ Hair and Berwickshire Housing Association.
Public sector clients have included local authorities, Scottish Enterprise, Careers Scotland, Visit Scotland, the Scottish Library and Information Council, the Scottish Manufacturing Advisory Service, Ayr College and the Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
We are currently undergoing a period of growth and are looking for an individual to complement our team and help consolidate our position in new and existing markets.
About you
It is important that you have a marketing degree or hold an appropriate marketing qualification.
You have experience which can be directly applied to the role and illustrates your initiative and your ability to work autonomously and to hit the ground running. Ideally, you have a proven track record of winning new business and a CV that will impress high calibre clients. Equally important, however, is a solid comprehension of the agency environment and possessing the necessary drive and know-how to shine in that environment.
You have the acumen and confidence to liaise at a senior level and are able to give sound marketing advice in a manner that is convincing and effective. Excellent client facing and communication skills are therefore essential, particularly during face-to-face and telephone scenarios.
You are a regular user of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and graphics packages. If you have web design and coding knowledge it will set you apart from other applicants for this role.
You have excellent organisational skills and can demonstrate the ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and produce exceptional work. Attention to detail and accuracy, particularly in written work is essential. You have a strong understanding of the wider implications of business decisions and of marketing campaign plans. You are a strong strategic thinker.
You are passionate about marketing, with ambition and a strong desire to succeed and play an integral part in the growth of the agency.
