Our client based in Fareham are a successful, expanding food manufacturer. They are currently looking for a Key Account Manager to achieve the agreed objectives for existing and new accounts for the company.
Reporting to the National Account Manager, you will identify new business opportunities and develop appropriate business relationships.
JOB ROLE:
•To produce and agree customer plans and objectives in-line with the company\'s trade channel strategies.
•To protect and grow Gross & Net Sales Value, Gross Profit, Operating Income and other key business measures (with guidance)
•Proposes and agree payment terms and broader trading criteria in line with company targets and best practice
•Ensure plans and measures are monitored and controlled, together with recommendations on courses of action required redressing any imbalances.
•To communicate with all internal functions, ensuring that high quality and efficient service is provided.
•Carry out regular visits to customers so as to ensure the effective implementation of agreed plans and drive activity, whilst building multifunctional and multilevel relationships.
•Pro-actively identify existing and new customer opportunities via ‘gap\' analysis and liaise with marketing to develop and deliver tangible benefits.
•Project management – Use of company Stagegate process to deliver best value to our customers in a timely fashion. Essential components are great communication, structured meeting discipline and process adherence.
•Create and maintain individual account files, maintaining factual historical and current records of all activity.
•Ensure that account details, visit reports and project management communications are clear, concise and communicated appropriately.
•Keep line manager updated on trends within customer base whilst identifying new business opportunities and recommending appropriate course action.
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:
•Experienced in direct sales and profit responsibility.
•Experience in handling mid sized retail accounts.
•Demonstrable record of over achievement against targets.
•Good IT and numerical skills.
