Remuneration for the Project Quantity Surveyor/Quantity Surveyor:
45-50k plus benefits - car/car allowance, pension and health care

My client has been established since the early 1980’s and since then has expanded dramatically as they now employ over 3750 people. They are currently working on a programme in partnership with a Housing Trust to replace kitchens and bathrooms in 650 homes in order to meet the government’s Decent Homes Standard. As a company they offer an unrivalled training and development program in the social housing sector.
The role for the Project Quantity Surveyor/Quantity Surveyor:
The role is to work within my client’s special works division
Projects are valued from £200,000 - £5,000,000:
Duties include but not limited to:
\" Preparation and letting of Subcontract packages
\" Preparing and checking Subcontract documents
\" Dealing with Subcontract applications, certificates and payments
\" Agreeing cost for variations with Subcontractors and Clients Representatives
\" Agreeing Subcontract final accounts
\" Agreeing Project Final Accounts
\" Preparing claims and extension of time submissions
\" Preparing Cost Value Reconciliations, and Cost to Complete, monthly on all projects, predicting margins at completion
\" Reporting final status and progress to Senior Quantity Surveyor
\" Preparing project Cash flows
\" Checking Main Contract documents and reporting onerous clauses to Senior Quantity Surveyor
\" Liaison with Clients Representative/PQS
\" Working with Site teams to ensure timely completion of projects
\" Supporting Site teams by promoting good relationships with Client and Subcontractors through good financial management
Project Quantity Surveyor/Quantity Surveyor Project Quantity Surveyor/Quantity Surveyor
7-10+ years Quantity Surveying experience
Main contractor background
Social housing experience and/or decent homes experience
