Project Manager - Regional Home Based - East Midlands

The primary function of the Regional Projects Manager (RPM) is the delivery of a professional project management delivery service in approximately 150 properties in the East Region (covering areas including East Anglia to Birmingham and Nottingham to Sheffield.

The Regional Projects Manager is responsible for:

- Regional management all the Company and their Client\'s project delivery requirements
- Delivering Corporate Governance in line with the requirements of the Company and their Clients
- Delivery of regular project progress and exceptions reporting
- Assisting with the monthly financial reporting, delivered by the Commercial Management Team
- Overall responsibility for the successful delivery of all Regional projects, working closely with the

Regional Client Representatives (as appropriate) and other personnel

The Regional Projects Manager works closely with the Commercial Management Team, the Senior Projects Managers and Company\'s FM, Life Cycle & Estate Teams in the delivery of all projects.

The principal role will be to ensure the successful delivery of projects through Framework Contracts or individual project procurement in respect of cost control, programme and performance monitoring.

There will be a requirement to support other internal business unit managers at key stages during project inception where there will be an opportunity to demonstrate skills in the strategic development of the project delivery process.

Main Duties
- Development of the clients brief, preparation of outline scope of works/specification, Employer\'s Requirements tender documents and review Contractors Proposals
- Procurement/negotiation with Contractors and Suppliers for project delivery including cost, programme, function, methodology and logistics.
- Managing and taking into consideration the interfaces and inputs from FMPs, Property and Lifecycle Cost & Maintenance
- Project Accounting including valuation of interim / final payments, management of the change control system and financial reporting
- Collating benchmark data and setting future targets for improvement
- Managing the process of handover for service delivery
- Arrange for measured surveys, levels and drawings of Sites and/or buildings where required.

Knowledge Skills and Experience
- Proven experience working within the project management / construction industry, educated to degree level or equivalent and hold a relevant Construction / M&E professional qualification i.e. MRICS, CIOB, MCIBSE or equivalent experience based skill.
- Demonstrable experience and understanding of working with the public sector
- Thorough understanding of the construction of a building, including building fabric and M&E, and the costs associated with such construction
- Experience of managing Framework Contracts and knowledge of green issues
- A good understanding of the FM Services Industry
- IT literate in using windows based packages
- Strong communication and written skills
- Self motivated and the ability to work independently

You will be expected to work in a mobile capacity within a predetermined geographical area and hold a clean driving license.

Responsible for complying with the Company Health and Safety arrangements in place for the health, safety and welfare of the Projects Team

Remuneration:
Salary £40-44k per annum + excellent benefits
