Senior Quantity Surveyor - £12m Groundworks Project - Swansea site
A Senior Quantity Surveyor capable of running their own large groundworks projects is needed by a well respected regional contractor based in Cardiff.
My client have been established for nearly 25 years. They specialise in large, complicated, Groundworks projects in the South Wales area. They have a turnover of around £100m and currently employ over 600 people from their Cardiff office. They have a full order book for 07 and it is nearly ¾ full for 08 so there is the guarantee of work in the area.
One of their core business areas is identifying land for development then fully landscaping it and doing all civils works including foundations before selling the development on to developers and main contractors who will build the above ground facilities. The successful candidate will start by working on a £12m civils and groundworks project that will eventually become a mixed housing and leisure development. The project is run on the NEC contract form.
Experience Needed
-Proven experience in running own projects from pre to post contract; applications, appointing and running sub-contractors, change management and final accounts (and all steps in between).
-NEC contract experience
-Civils experience - preferably groundworks based
