Fantastic opportunity to join a leading Pan-European Service Provider in the capacity of Senior IP Network Implementation Engineer offering a basic salary of £40K - £50K based in Stevenage with travel to various sites.
The Senior Network Implementation Engineer will take ownership of the IP MPLS network installation, remote configuration & on-site physical build. The Senior IP Network Engineer will be responsible for all network upgrades, new builds & patching, predominantly with Cisco equipment but will also gain exposure to Huawei. You will take ownership of network expansion, some design work & implementation of the complete network strategy through to handover to the operations teams.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in supporting, implementing or designing large scale IP networks both remotely & on-site. Candidates should have extensive knowledge on some or all of the following networking protocols; TCP/IP, ISIS, OSPF, BGP, MBGP & MPLS. Experience in configuring Cisco switches & routers is essential. CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, CCDP or CCIP certifications highly desirable. This role will require some site visit & therefore a full valid driving licence is essential.
