Job Description
We are seeking a qualified accountant with experience of working in a leasing environment and managing a team. The role will be responsible for accounting, financial planning & reporting for European subsidiaries & branches including US Tax, GAAP and local statutory accounting and all US and local regulatory reporting requirements.
Current European territories are UK, Ireland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Netherlands, France, Spain, Italy + potential partnerships in Eastern Europe.
The job in brief is to
- Manage a team of 4 Accounting Staff in the UK plus 12 Accounting Staff reports across Europe.
- Working knowledge of tax issues faced in multi-jurisdiction companies.
- Knowledge of European Tax structures together with thin cap and debt/equity ratios.
- Deal evaluations - advising on Tax and accounting rules and regulations for US GAAP and local statutory.
- Ensure smooth running of day-to-day financial matters in the region, providing visibility to Senior Management in Europe and USA.
- Review of monthly consolidated US GAAP financial Statements and monitoring / reporting of Actual versus Plan numbers.
- Monitor the analysis made by Accounting Staff of financial results.
- Production of Monthly Management Report summarizing financial data in business context for senior management.
- Produce end of year outlook / forecast numbers as requested at points in the Fiscal Year.
- Management and Coordination of Annual Forecasting and Planning Process in conjunction and consultation with senior management Administration of Incentive Compensation plans for Europe. (Calculate quarterly commission payments etc).
- Ensure Compliance with KeyCorp Account Certification Procedure and other policies as developed and implemented.
- Work closely with peer functions to ensure “commerciality and compliance” of business.
- Reporting and management of Europe cash position in line with US policies.
