Due to a successful long term tender win, my client, a division of a leading FTSE 100
business require a Finance Manager to provide management accounting, forecasting and project control based in Southampton City Centre.
Responsible for the commercial and financial support of a multi-disciplinary business you will provide management accounting, financial reporting, project forecasting , variance analysis and operational support to 4 business units.
Although the accounting is not overly technical you will be required to use SAP to operate and compile monthly management accounts to include, costs, invoices, 3rd party contractor fees, project forecasting, WIP and tight project control. You will be expected to produce P&L\'s from the order book and to report to tight deadlines to senior management. With the nature of the work involved - the key to this position is personality, enthusiasm and the confidence to communicate financial matters to professional non-finance individuals.
This is a great opportunity for someone who has worked in similar project orientated/management accounting roles but with the desire to really get “under the skin” of a business by learning its structures, pressures and success factors. You will be AAT qualified and looking to pursue ACCA or CIMA as study will be provided. Excellent career opportunities abound for this well respected and nationally recognised name.
