PROGRAM SUPPORT MANAGER - Bedfordshire
Salary: £30-42,000 pa (Depending on experience) + benefits (FULL RELOCATION PACKAGE IF APPROPRIATE)

Our client is a leading UK defence contractor supplying integrated system solutions to the UK and allied armed forces directly or through global prime contractors.
The Company\'s experience and capabilities range from Future Concepts, Communications Systems Integration, Combat Systems Integration and support systems on or close to the battlefield. This is supported by a Manufacturing capability specialising in mechanical and composite components and system assembly.
Brief Job Description:
•Reporting to the Business Area Manager, oversees and manages the program support aspects of the business area overall and smaller ongoing projects directly.
•Responsible for the recruitment, development and assignment of the pool of Business Area program support staff.
•Responsible for providing to the Business Area project managers the required level of support to programs either as co-located staff to larger projects or as an ongoing service to smaller projects.
•Serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team and line management. Responsible for the flow down of project budgets and schedules to budget holders. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports and metrics. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
•Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers and clients.
Essential Experience:
•Knowledge and understanding of project management practices and skill-sets including planning, risk, data management, configuration management and general project support
